Doritos Dodgeball Challenge

This international campaign to launch the new Doritos flavor, “Flamin’ Cheeseball”, spanned two continents. In the UK an interactive dodgeball event concepted by AMV BBDO gave people the chance to play live online dodgeball to help find the UK’s best dodgeball team.

To accomplish this they built Dodgeball cannons capable of being fired in real-time. While amateur dodgeball players stood before stand the cannons, online Doritos fans were given the chance to shoot at them from controls on their browsers. The team that dodged the most balls won a trip to Las Vegas to play the US pro dodgeball champions, the San Diego Crossfire.

We coordinated with our counterparts in England to make the US via UK event come to life and managed the entire operation in the United States, including player coordination and overseeing the matches.

We designed event graphics and digital elements and promoted the event via social media. In addition, we worked with Planet Hollywood on event logistics, including building a poolside court and assisting the video production company in create content for YouTube.
